Intern in Protein Expression and Purification (f/m/d)


We are looking for a motivated intern working in the field of protein expression and purification. The ideal candidate has bench work experience, with a strong background in biochemistry and cell biology. Proficiency in standard methods, including protein expression, western blotting and mammalian cell culture, is a must.

YOUR TASKS AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES


- Expression of recombinant proteins (e. g., antibodies, antigens, fusion proteins) using small- and large-scale mammalian cell culture systems
- Optimization of existing as well as development and establishment of new expression methods
- Protein analytics using different biochemical techniques to evaluate protein expression, purity, aggregation and endotoxin content
- Data analysis and documentation, interpretation and reporting scientific results in internal team meetings, literature research


WAS SIE MITBRINGEN


- You are an enrolled student of biology (f/m/d)
- You have basic laboratory experience in the field of biochemistry and cell biology
- You demonstrate good time management and organizational skills as well as an understanding of good laboratory practice, laboratory record keeping and SOP/protocol adherence
- Hands-on experience in antibody/AAV expression and transient/stable transfection of mammalian cells will be an asset
- You demonstrate an independent working style and enjoy collaborating in a team environment
- Proficiency with MS Office and vector map software packages
- You are fluent in German, both written and spoken; English language skills are an advantage
